To Dance like the Dandies
A poem for a spring day
*ah to be free
to simply dance in the wind
like all the wild dandies
celebrating in my yard
*glistening in the sun*
*as mother nature's finest symphony*
*plays a familiar number
the one that the dandies dance to
*it is a simply composition
yet there are so many musicians
remaining in perfect harmony
never missing a beat
*you may surprised to learn
the harmonies each element brings
has never been played before
the dandies know every melody
*how could this be?
impossible you may think
for all of the world to be able to come as one
and play a simple tune
*it takes almost no effort
no more than their existence
for the orchestras songs to play
and for the dandies to sway
*but how, how could this be
how could all of the beings of the world
the animals, the plants, the winds, the waters
*all play together as one
*no conductor leading them through
*being the star of the show
no solos or rhapsodies
everyone's equal perfect harmonies*
*
*an astonishing amalgamation
everything and everyone's natural energies
*flawlessly in sync with one another
the euphonic result exquisite
*you too are a piece of this company too
just trust me and listen
to the natural rhythm of the world
it's inside you, i promise, way deep inside
*try not only to listen,
to hear it with your ears,
but allow your heart to synchronize to it
allow your soul to intertwine with it
*and then, this is key,*
slow your breathing, feel your beat
*allow the beats to meet*
*the beats of the world, the you, the all, are one*
*embrace this rhythm of the world of all,
as you move though this life
live as nature lives
flow as nature flows
*at some point there will be a change
you will see
an evolutionary crescendo is building inside
mother nature excited you're joining her pride*
*the sun and the stars will become your guides
the air will invigorate each and every breath*
*all the animals all around you, comrades*
the dandies ensuring you never miss a dance
